1/4 c Butter or margarine; melted
1 tb Onion; finely chopped
1 ts Dill weed
10 oz Refrigerated buttermilk bisc
Recipe by: DEC/JAN 1996 In a bowl,
combine butter, onion and dill. cut biscuits in half
lengthwise; toss in butter mixture. Arrange in a
single layer in an ungreased 9″ square baking pan.
Bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Serve with Broccoli in Herbed Butter and Pork
Stroganoff for a meal for your family for $1.15 a
plate.

Title: Caramel Turtles

1 c Pecan halves
36 Caramels
1/2 c Sweet chocolate, melted
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a cookie sheet. Arrange pecans,
flat side down, in clusters of four. Place one caramel on each
cluster of pecans. Heat until caramels soften, about 4-8 minutes.
remove from oven. Flatten caramel with buttered spatula. Cool
slightly. remove from pan to wax paper. Swirl chocolate on top.

Oatmeal Currant Buttermilk Drop Biscuits

1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons double-acting baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup cold, unsalted butter — cut into bits
3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup dried currants, soak in boiling water — 5 minutes
2/3 cup plus 2 T. buttermilk
Into a bowl, sift together the flour, the baking powder, the baking soda, the
sugar, the salt and the cinnamon. Add the butter and blend the mixture until
it resembles meal. Stir in the oats and the currants, drained. Add the
buttermilk and stir until the mixture just forms a soft sticky dough. Drop
the dough by rounded tablespoon onto a buttered baking sheet and bake the
biscuits in the middle of a preheated 425 oven for 15 to 17 minutes, or until
pale golden. Makes about 16 biscuits.

Title: Keebler 15-Minute Lemon Chiffon Pie

1 KEEBLER Ready Crust Graham
-Cracker Pie Crust (6 oz)
7 oz Carnation evaporated milk,
-well chilled
1/2 c Water
3 tb Lemon juice
1 pk Unflavored gelatin
3/4 c Sugar
Yellow food coloring (opt)
1 Kiwi fruit (garnish)
Preparation Time: 15 minutes. Chilling Time: 1 hour.
Pour chilled evaporated milk into a medium size bowl and whip with an
electric mixer until soft peaks form, about 1-2 minutes. Mix water,
lemon juice and gelatin in microwave bowl and heat on high for 1
minute. Stir to dissolve gelatin.
Mix whipped milk, sugar, food coloring, and gelatin mixture with an
electric mixer until thoroughly blended. Pour into pie crust. Cover
with inverted plastic dome and chill until fully set, at least 1
hour. Garnish with kiwi fruit, if desired.

1/2 package of small elbow macaroni
1 can of chili beans (any kind/any flavor)
1 can of Del Monte chili ready tomatoes
1 package of fat free cheddar cheese
Cook macaroni, drain and set aside. In a large pot, cook beans and tomatoes.
Stir in macaroni and add about 1/2 of the fat free cheese. Stir until cheese
is melted. Pour into baking dish and top with remaining cheese. Refrigerate
or freeze. Heat at 350 degrees for 20 minutes when ready to eat. There are
infinite ways to make this dish — you could add TVP®, rice, more spices,
green chiles, use black beans, etc.

3 c Ready-mixed flour 1 c Milk
7 tb Shortening
Sift flour, measure, and sift. Cut in shortening with 2 spatulas. Add
milk. Turn onto lightly floured board. Knead lightly and pat into sheet
1/2 inch thick. Cut with floured cutter. Bake in hot oven (450ø F) 12
