8 ounces wide egg noodles
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons poppy seeds

Prepare egg noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
Add butter to pasta pot. Return noodles to pasta pot, cover with poppy
seeds and stir until butter is melted and noodles are covered with poppy
seeds and butter.

  • Crab Avocado Melt

    Title: CRAB AVOCADO MELT

    Yield: 1 servings

    1 cn Crabmeat, rinsed
    4 tb Mayonaise
    1 tb Onion-green-chopped
    1 tb Parsley-chopped
    2 Sl Pumpernickle bread
    2 Sl Avocado
    2 Sl Colby or american cheese

    In a small bowl mix crab, mayonaise, onion and parsley. Spread half the
    mixture evenly on each slice of pumpernickel bread, top with a slice of
    avocado and then cheese. Place one sandwich on. In a microwaveable dish
    muicrowave at 50% power, 1 1/2 to 3 mins, or until heated through and the
    cheese melts. Repeat for 2nd sandwich

    Title: Bruschetta Romana Piccante (Spicy Roman Bruschetta)

    Yield: 4 servings

    3/4 ts Red wine vinegar 1 ea Red chili, minced
    1/4 c Olive oil 2 tb Fresh breadcrumbs, if
    needed
    6 tb Parsley, chopped 6 sl Italian country-style
    bread,
    3 tb Basil, chopped — cut 3/4″ to 1″ thick
    1/2 ts Garlic, minced — halved
    1/8 ts Red pepper flakes -=OR=- 1 tb Olive oil

    Whisk together the vinegar oil. Stir in the parsley basil. Add the
    garlic pepper flakes. Leave for 2 hours to let the flavours meld. If the
    mixture seems to thin, add the breadcrumbs. Grill or toast the bread
    slices. While they are still warm, brush with a little olive oil, spread
    with the bruschetta topping serve.

  • Mashed Potato Casserole

    Title: Mashed Potato Casserole

    Yield: 7 servings

    10 md Potatoes, peeled
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1 c Sour cream
    8 oz Cream cheese
    Onion, chpd
    Butter, melted
    Paprika

    In a large soup pot boil the potatoes. Drain, season
    and mash the potatoes. Add the sour cream, cream
    cheese and onion and mix throughly. Place in a 2 quart
    casserole dish andallow to cool. Cover and refrigerate
    for 24 hours. Top with melted butter and sprinkle with
    paprika. Bake in a 350 oven for 30 minutes. Source:

  • Eggplant Kottu

    Recipe

    Title: EGGPLANT KOTTU (EGGPLANT AND CHICKPEAS (OR MOONG BEANS)
    Categories: Indian, Vegan, Vegetarian, Main dish
    Servings: 4

    1/2 c Split chickpeas or mong dahl 1/2 ts Cumin seed
    1 1/2 c Water 3 ea Green chilies (optional)
    1 pn Salt 2 tb Vegetable oil
    1/8 ts Turmeric 1 ts Mustard seed
    4 ea Eggplants, medium 3 ea Bay leaves
    2 c Water 3 ea Red chilies (optional)
    1 pn Salt 1 tb Lemon juice
    1/8 ts Turmeric 1 pn Salt
    1 c Coconut, fresh and grated 2 tb Coriander
    leaves-fresh/chopd

    Boil chickpeasd or moong dahl in 1 1/2 cups water with a pinch of salt and
    1/8 ts turmeric until done. Then mash them well.

    Slice the eggplants lengthwise. Boil them in a large saucepan filled with
    2 cups water, a pinch of salt and 1/8 ts turmeric. When eggplants are
    tender, add mashed chickpeas/moong dahl.

    Grind the coconut, cumin seed and green chilies together.

    Heat 1 tb of the vegetable oil in a skillet and add mustard seed, bay
    leaves and red chilies. When mustard seeds stop cracking, add this
    mixture to the eggplants. Add lemon juice. Stir a few times. Add salt
    to taste and sprinkle with coriander leaves.
